1. Plain-language summary
The website has no advertising network, behavioural profiling, affiliate-tracking technology, gambling account, payment system or cross-site marketing tracker in its published code.
The website uses one item of browser local storage to remember that a visitor has confirmed they are 18 or older. Local storage is not technically a cookie, but it is explained here because it performs a similar browser-memory function. The website also requests fonts from Google Fonts and links to external supplier and public-information websites. Those third parties may receive ordinary connection information when their resources are requested or when you follow a link.
This policy should be read with our Privacy Policy, which explains how correspondence, technical logs and personal information are handled.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies
Cookies are small text records that a website asks a browser to store. They may be temporary and expire when the browser closes, or persistent and remain until a defined expiry date or manual deletion. First-party cookies are associated with the website being visited; third-party cookies are associated with another domain whose service appears on or is called by that website.
Local storage
Local storage is a browser feature that lets a website save a small value on a device without attaching that value to each web request. It usually remains until the user deletes site data. Unlike a traditional cookie, local storage does not have a built-in expiry date and is not automatically sent to the web server.
Pixels, scripts and device storage
Websites can also use scripts, tags, pixels, software development kits or similar methods to measure activity or remember preferences. Mire Novanta does not currently deploy marketing pixels, fingerprinting scripts, session-replay tools or advertising identifiers.

The age-confirmation value does not contain your name, birth date, contact details, location, gambling activity or a user identifier. The website does not ask you to prove your age or transmit the local-storage value as part of an account.
4. Third-party resources and links
Google Fonts
The stylesheet requests fonts from Google Fonts. To return the files, Google’s infrastructure may receive technical connection data such as your IP address, browser information, requested resource and request time. Mire Novanta does not receive a list identifying people who requested those fonts and does not use the font request to create advertising profiles. Google controls its own systems and policies.
Supplier and public-information links
Directory profiles link to supplier websites, while safety and responsible-gambling pages link to New Zealand public bodies and support services. A third party may use cookies or tracking technologies after you choose to visit its website. Its policies—not this Cookie Policy—govern that activity. Opening an external link does not transmit a Mire Novanta account identifier because no such account exists.
Email links
Selecting an email link may open your device’s email application or provider. Your provider may store information according to its own settings and terms. No message is sent until you choose to send it.
5. How to control browser storage
You can delete the age-confirmation value using your browser’s controls for cookies, local storage or site data. After deletion, the 18+ prompt will appear again. You can also use private-browsing mode, which generally removes local site data when the private session ends, although browser behaviour varies.
Common controls include:
- viewing and deleting stored data for a specific website;
- blocking third-party cookies;
- blocking all cookies or site storage;
- clearing cached images and files;
- restricting JavaScript or external font requests;
- using tracking-protection or content-blocking features.
Blocking JavaScript or local storage may cause the age confirmation to reappear or affect menu and accordion interactions. The principal editorial content should remain readable.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because Mire Novanta currently performs no behavioural advertising or cross-site tracking, it does not need to alter an advertising profile in response to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. If tracking technology is introduced later, this policy and the relevant consent controls will be reviewed.
6. Consent and strictly necessary storage
The age-confirmation storage is used only after you actively select the confirmation button. It supports an age-appropriate access notice for content connected with casino environments. It is not used to infer an exact age, monitor browsing across websites or make an automated decision about you.
If optional analytics, personalisation or advertising technologies are introduced in future, Mire Novanta will assess whether prior notice, consent or an opt-out mechanism is required before activating them for visitors.
7. Changes and contact
Technology changes over time. This page will be updated if a new cookie, analytics provider, embedded service or materially different browser-storage purpose is introduced. The effective date will identify the current version.
